The Annual Ethiopian Sports and Cultural Festival and the Olympic 2012 Ethiopian Grand Festival

Summer festivals are a great attraction to our community in the UK. They are happy occasions where people meet each other, see old friends and create new ones. It is a cultural festivity where one enjoys inclusion and learns about others.  They are occasions which celebrate achievements in business and build self-esteem and confidence. They bring out unity and play down differences.

The Habesha Business Association (HBA) organised its first business awards on the 31st of March 2009 in a colorful event at the Wabishebele Restaurant, London. The Award, maybe the first of its kind for Ethiopian and Eritrean Diaspora, was an instant success. The feedback from the Habesha communities was positive and very encouraging.
